Being Emmett’s mom and caregiver is exhausting, isolating, beautiful, rewarding, and the most important thing in my life. When we don’t have a home health nurse to help us during the day (we were down one for a very long few months recently), it’s a juggling act between my husband and me to administer all of Emmett’s medications, therapies, and activities of daily living while also holding down two senior leadership positions. ![]()

With all of my work travel, my unsung hero, Drew Hurt, handles everything at home. Thank you Drew for not only being the best dad/caregiver ever to Emmett but also to a certain stage IV cancer survivor while she was in the fight of her life. ❤️![]()
