It was a privilege to volunteer my time to speak with the incoming class of University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine students about the importance of a collaborative physician/patient relationship. To me, this appointment is bigger than one individual. It is a signal that the patient voice belongs in leadership discussions, strategic decisions, and innovation efforts across our industry. I hope it encourages more organizations to actively seek and value patient/caregiver subject matter experts when shaping the future of healthcare.![]()
